The traditional story is that the Indians helped the Pilgrims figure out how to plant and harvest crops so that they could survive in a new place. 

 

The Indians taught them what works here. How to plant, how to harvest, how to do all the stuff in between to take care of their crops so that they could have the harvest.

I often see this misconception where people think that they should know how to manage their retirement crops themselves and they feel like there is something wrong with them if they don’t understand or know something related to financial planning.

Just like the pilgrims who probably all had different skills that they might have brought with them.
